Would a FREE iPhone make you happier?
Now that we have your attention, we'd like to tell you about a contest we're throwing to celebrate friendships and the simple act of saying: "Thank you!"
Beginning September 4, 2009 (12:00 am CST), we're looking for that special emotionr member who rates a "thank you" in our lives and that person could very well be YOU.
Are you the kind of person who cheers people up when they're feeling down? Are you the type helps people get to where they want to go? On emotionr, those little acts of random and not-so-random kindness don't go unnoticed. Paying it forward might just pay off --- with an iPhone 3GS!
The emotionr member who receives the highest ratings from the combined "thanks" of other emotionr members before October 5 (12:01 am CST) wins the iPhone! It's that simple.
Doing things to make people happier really should come naturally. But if you've somehow forgotten how much fun it is to spread some happiness around, we'd like to add a little incentive and hopefully get people back into the habit of making people smile and say "thank you." It's all in good fun and we hope you really get into the emotionr spirit!
Here's how it works:
- Log on to your emotionr account.
- Use the emotion slider to rate someone 5 or higher
- Put down "thankful" under "Describe your feeling with a word."
- Mention the username of whoever it is you want to thank under "What made you feel this?"
- Feel free to add details about what that person did to make you feel thankful in your blog.
- We'll put a leader board up so everyone sees in real time who is making people smile the most throughout the contest period.
- On October 5, we'll see who wins the iPhone 3GS!
- No points are awarded just for joining this contest. You only receive points when another emotionr member thanks and gives you a rating of 5 or higher.
- You may thank as many people as you like; but remember to use their emotionr usernames instead of their real names.
- You may NOT thank the same person more than once.
- All "thanks" from multiple emotionr accounts which are generated from the same computer (having the same IP address) will automatically be disqualified.
- There's absolutely nothing stopping you from inviting your friends, family, co-workers, twitter followers, facebook contacts, countrymen and earthlings to sign up for an emotionr account and joining the contest.
Eligibility:
This contest is open to any individual, 18 years of age and older, with an emotionr account.
Employees of Zallas Technologies and their relatives,
up to the second degree of consanguinity are
also disqualified from participating in this contest.
Terms and Conditions:
- The winner will be notified by email upon the completion of the contest period and should be willing to provide their full name and address so that emotionr can send them their prize.
- In the event of a tie, the emotionr member who reaches the winning number of votes earlier will win.
- In the event the prize is not claimed within 30 days from the end of the contest period, the prize will be awarded to the emotionr member with the next highest number of "thanks."
- This promotion is void where prohibited.
